Why is there a need for a guide? People today are proud about standing on their own might. In English, it is called being ”self-made” . Self made. They did everything themselves. They achieved everything by themselves.
為什麼需要一個嚮導？今天人們是如此地自豪，他們能靠自己的能力站起來。英文是叫作「自力更生」。自力更生的人，他們什麼都靠自己。他們靠自己的力量，來成就每件事。
This is not your destination. Your destination is within you. And where are you lost? On the outside. If you try to look for your destination outside, then you will be able to reach your outside destination, but how will you reach your real destination within? Without the written word, the essence of all the scriptures is within you. Experience this. Experience! Not ideas. Not explanations. Not comments. You should experience this.
這不是你的目的地。你的目的地就在你內在。但你在哪裡迷失呢？在外在。如果你企圖在外在尋找你的目的地，那你只會到達你外在的目的地。但如何到達你內在真正的目的地呢？不需要這些記載的文字，所有經典的精髓都在你內在。體驗這個，體驗！不需要見解。不需要解釋。不需要評論。你只需要體驗這個。
But if we want to experience them in reality, whatever it is, it goes beyond thinking. It is a separate matter. It is about something inside. Aspiration is not an ordinary thing. Aspiration is a very, very powerful thing. This thirst is no ordinary thirst. It is very strong, an extremely strong thirst. This is the thirst of the heart. Try and understand this, and through that, you will also understand what I am talking about. Whatever I am saying, I am saying it from my heart. I have not written a speech.
