Quotes of Prem Rawat/Maharaji

Today, I would like to say this-if you are going to be compared to a bird, then don’t forget to fly. If you are compared to a flower, then don’t forget to blossom. If you are compared to a river, then don’t forget to merge into the sea.

In this life, it is so easy to get lost. Once someone’s eyes are taken away from the goal, Once their focus is taken away from the goal, there is no limit to how much a person can get lost. If a person gets lost once, there is no limit to how much he can get lost.

Why is there a need for a guide? People today are proud about standing on their own might. In English, it is called being ”self-made” . Self made. They did everything themselves. They achieved everything by themselves.

This is not your destination. Your destination is within you. And where are you lost? On the outside. If you try to look for your destination outside, then you will be able to reach your outside destination, but how will you reach your real destination within? Without the written word, the essence of all the scriptures is within you. Experience this. Experience! Not ideas. Not explanations. Not comments. You should experience this.

But if we want to experience them in reality, whatever it is, it goes beyond thinking. It is a separate matter. It is about something inside. It is about the heart, and if you want a guide, the guide should be the one who can take you within.

Aspiration is not an ordinary thing. Aspiration is a very, very powerful thing. This thirst is no ordinary thirst. It is very strong, an extremely strong thirst. This is the thirst of the heart. Try and understand this, and through that, you will also understand what I am talking about. Whatever I am saying, I am saying it from my heart. I have not written a speech.

I have not memorized a speech. Whatever I have said today, it has come from my heart, for your heart. Besides everything else, you have been given this human body. Make this life a success, and let joy com into your life so that this barren place may not remain barren any longer.

Quotes of Prem Rawat/Maharaji

1. The movie of life begins with the first breath.
And we all know how the movie ends.
We are fascinated by the in— between part.
This is what we live for: “Who am I? What am I? What have I accomplished?”
That’s all fine, but never, ever forget the importance of where it began and where it ends.

2. This world is filled with questions without answers.
The heart is filled with answers without questions.
We can accept those answers, not the answers the world is trying to give us.
The answers of the heart are very, very different, because the heart says,
"Awaken and rejoice. Awaken and be alive.
Awaken to the possibility of being fulfilled."

3. Because I am alive today, I might want to go left.
Tomorrow, I might want to go right.
These are not the points.
It is not about the left, and it is not about the right,
and it is not about the straight and it is not about the U-turn.
Life is not about all that.
Life is about that breath coming into you.

4. Peace begins with you. Peace is possible with you.
Yours is this life, the gift that you have been given.
Realize what a gift you have been given.
Understand the beauty that is dancing in front of your very eyes.
Don’t wait. This is your time.
Grab the request for peace in your heart, find that contentment in your life.
That’s what peace is.

5. Each breath is a blessing.
Be a fisherman.
Somebody can show you how to cast that net within and catch as many of those blessings in your life as you can.
Reel them in.
Fill this vessel, understand, and rejoice.
Feel free, really free.
Feel the ultimate feeling.
Feel happiness, peace every day.
Feel the gratitude in your life every day.
That’s what life is about.
