What I want to teach is not a bunch of ideas, and not a bunch of concepts. I want to teach you to discover what you already have. It’s a very different kind of teaching.

Or, how about holding up a mirror? My job is to make sure the mirror is nice and clean. Nice and
clean—and I hold the mirror up. And then I get to watch you smile …when you see, in the
mirror. ‘Cause you’re always pleasantly surprised.

People look at me, and it’s like, “I didn’t ask you to hold the mirror. I asked you a question! Why are you holding the mirror?” And I’m saying, “Yeah but, keep looking—and you will learn to look within you. And when you do, you will find the answers.
人們看著我，好像在說：｢我並沒有叫你舉起鏡子，我只是問你一個問題呀！你為何舉起鏡子呢？｣而我說：是的，但繼續看，你就會學會向內在看。當你這麼做時，你就會找到答案。
And I sit there and clean the mirror, and clean the mirror, and clean the mirror, and clean the mirror: “Look!”
“I don’t want to look. I haven’t got the time to look. I’m too busy. That’s not what I want right now in my life.”
“Well, what do you want in your life? Did you look in the mirror again?”
我坐在那裡，清理鏡子、清理鏡子、清理鏡子。「看一下！」
「我不想要看 ，我沒時間看，我太忙了，這不是我現在想要的。」
「嗯，你一生中想要什麼呢？你可有再照照鏡子？」
“No, I can’t. I’m too busy. There are other things going on. This is interesting, but, someday….” Today is your day. Every day is your day. Not, someday. Every day is your day. That’s the way it is.
「沒有，我沒辦法，我太忙了，還有其他事情呢。這是蠻有趣的，但改天吧！」今天就是你的日子。每一天都是你的日子，不是改天再說。每一天都是你的日子。就是這樣。
